We're Here To Support You
We offer support to anyone who has experienced childhood trauma in South Australia. This includes people who were placed into institutions as children, young people aged 17-25 who have left the out-of-home care system, and people who were sexually abused as children in an institutional setting.
We recognise that people have different experiences and our service is respectful of this and tailored to meet individual needs. We believe that people are best supported in environments in which diversity is valued; relationships are respectful; people have a sense of connection and belonging, and an opportunity to learn and develop.
Find + Connect Support Service
We’ll help you access Find & Connect, the Australian Government’s support for people who were placed in institutions as children prior to 1989. We can connect you with therapeutic counselling and groups, support groups and help you search for your records.
Redress Support Service
We help survivors of child sexual abuse in an institutional setting to access the Australian Government’s National Redress Scheme. We can support you with your application and through the process of receiving an apology, a payment and counselling, if you’re eligible.
